Advanced Safety Management Course
The Northeast Florida Safety Council is pleased to offer the Advanced Safety Management Program. Of the courses, twelve (12) must be completed within three years of initial enrollment. These classes are eight (8) hours in length and will have a post test grade requirement. A passing grade of 80% or higher is necessary to obtain course credit.
The Advanced Safety Management (ASM) Program is especially designed for the PSM graduate and the safety professional. The ASM is a premier safety and health program which will better help the safety professional in the 21st Century and beyond. The ASM is offered throughout Florida and may be taken at any Florida Association of Safety Councils Training Centers.
ASM Enrollment Requirements:
To enroll in the ASM Program, students must document one of the following:
(1) Completion of the PSM Program; (2) Hold a recognized professional designation or degree in the safety field, ie, ASP, CSP, AA; (3) Four years job experience in a safety related field.
ASM COSTS:
Enrollment Fee: $40 (waived if you enroll in 2008), NEFSC Member $125,
Non-Member $175
ASM Graduation Requirements:
(1) Complete a minimum of twelve (12) ASM courses within three (3) years, and
(2) Pass a post-test in each of the twelve (12) chosen courses with an 80% or higher passing grade.
ASM Renewal Requirements:
Take a minimum of one (1) ASM eight (8) hour approved course per year thereafter

July: Workplace Violence and Security - Eight Hour Hazwoper Refresher
August: Mastering Workers Compensation - Eight Hour Hazwoper Refresher
September: Safety Policy Development - Eight Hour Hazwoper Refresher
October: Conducting Safety Audits – 8 Hour Hazwoper Refresher – Corporate Driving & Fleet Safety
November: Traffic Mishap Investigation – 8 Hour Hazwoper Refresher – Applied Risk Management
December: Behavior Based Safety - Eight Hour Hazwoper Refresher
