This course is being used by several counties around Florida as a court ordered
or sentencing alternative program for traffic violators who have already taken
the 4-hour Basic Driver Improvement Course within a 12-month period, or as a
punitive measure for traffic violators with a poor driving history or at risk
of receiving a points suspension.
This course is different from the 8-Hour Aggressive Driving Course and the
8-Hour Driving While License Suspended Course. Please make sure that your court
order or court directive identifies the course that you need to take as the
"8-Hour Intermediate Driver Improvement Course".
