322.291 - driver improvement school required in certain license suspensions and
revocations
This Department-approved advanced driver improvement course is required before
the driving privilege is restored for point suspensions, HTO and certain other
suspensions or revocations.
The goal of this 12 hour program is to help problem drivers develop alternative
behaviors to those that resulted in license suspension or revocation. Participants
are instructed through group methods using "reality therapy" techniques
to accept responsiblity for their actions, understand and identify the consequences
of continued poor driving, and develop a plan to avoid future difficulties.
